Life-critical in the event of a fire, yet shrouded in complex regulations, fire protection is a risk and can have significant implications if it’s done incorrectly. As a FIRAS-accredited specialist installer, we’ve developed a range of mechanisms to provide confidence and assurance that our works are compliant, effective and safe.

Pyrotect has been delivering passive fire protection since 1998. We’ve built up an expertise in installing compliant solutions over this time and we undertake a programme of CPD, product training and competence assessments to ensure we keep our legislative and regulatory knowledge, technical expertise and installation skills at their peak.
FIRAS
Pyrotect are members of FIRAS, a UKAS-accredited third-party certification scheme for passive fire protection installers. To achieve and maintain our membership, FIRAS auditors undertake annual assessments of our office and contract management processes, as well as site audits of our operatives’ competence in compliant installation.
Holding FIRAS accreditation offers our clients an independent verification of our competence in and commitment to compliant passive fire protection.
Legislation.
At Pyrotect, we ensure we are at the forefront of developments and changes in passive fire protection and the wider construction industry.
Our works cover various legislative requirements, including Building Regulations Approved Documents B, E and L and British Standards for sound (residential, industrial, offices) as well as various Health Technical Memoranda.
Our shareable digital records also comply with Building Regulation 38 in the provision of fire safety information to the responsible person.
